Tom, Dick, and Harry.
As Tom nicely tells us, good ol' Dick accidentally, and ineffectively, sprayed his bud Harry with buckshot over the weekend. Whoop-tee-doo. Hunting accidents happen all the time, and just because one involves the Vice President of the United States doesn't mean it belongs on the top of Google News. There are more important things for us to pay attention to at the Vice President's office, in Washington, and even in Corpus Christi, where the accident took place:
Vice President's office:
Vice President's office:
- Whatever happened with Scooter Libby and Karl Rove and the Plame case? Are we just ignoring that now?
- Cheney's still trying to keep us under watch.
- The Republicans are still collecting insane amounts of money from their sheep.
- FEMA is being reformed.
- A bill in the House would essentially eliminate third-party candidacy for the House.
- The international community is outraged over Gitmo - and we should be too.
- The city won some award.
- Local bureaurcracy has little credibility.
- LULAC is trying to exert influence on local government.

Good points all.
I also think there is too much "fluff" in the media to distract us from the major issues.
Still, it's hard to forget the vice president shooting and old man in the face. It kind of just sticks in your mind.
Oops, maybe I spoke too soon.
The old man who Cheney shot in the face and chest has just had a heart attack.
Well, he is 78.
